    Hi there!
I've been looking at the FW model and a question came to my mind: is it possible to buy the notebook in the US but with a different keyboard (Western Spanish, for example)? Anyone have any experience with something like this?
    Thanks in advance!

Maybe you can aks them to do this on a CTO basis, but I doubt it.
Windows allows you to choose between different keyboard locations (I used an external English keyboard with a German setting after the internal in my German Medion laptop broke).
If you want to actually get the keyboard, one expensive way to do is, is to buy the laptop, then order the keyboard separately and then have an authorised person replce them. (Authorized so not to void the warranty, also make sure its a Sony keyboard and not a no name aquivalent).

Something else that springs to mind, which wasn't a problem before. With the new "mosaic keyboard" do you change the buttons only or also the "grid"?? That will be the key, because it the "grid" has to stay its not going to work due to for example the different Enter key in at least Germany and the UK, but possibly the rest of Europe also.

Else I could only recommend you wait a bit longer for someone else to answer your question.

You can buy keyboard with foreign keyboard only from country where is this model selling . Because selling of this model is supplied by local sony centre and they dont sell you this model to abroad because of international business .

But you can contact your local sony vaio support or company which do service for vaio in your country and ask them for keyboard change , it cost around 100US . They should be able to order blank keyboard and to burn out on keys what you need .
I asked for this some time ago and they said to me it is possible .
