I just about to visit Japan (Tokyo) next week. And want to check online stores around in Tokyo for a SZ. Anyone know which websites offer information in English? Thanks

You should not find any difficulty getting a VAIO in Japan. In fact, there are VAIO models only available abroad, like in Japan. It may or may not be cheaper to buy it abroad due to money conversion rate(s).

I was just there a month ago an picked up a 2nd hand VGN-SZ90PS (Premium) for about 192,000 YEN. The thing looks practically brand new, saved a fair amount of money compared to buying in my home country. The carbon fibre lid and sparkling blue specks on the lid are really nice.
They have plenty of the standard SZ`s for sale new and 2nd hand.
Try the Akihabara shopping district and the Sofmap stores. Note this area is geared towards tourists so it will cost more but they have a bigger range. As for Japanese stores offering a english website i am not sure.
In any case if you have the time shop around a little as it will pay off.
Edit: Hmm found some old memos i took from Sofmaps Adverts. Brand new they sell a pre-configured
SONY VAIO-SZ72B/B
Core 2 Duo T5600 1.83Ghz, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, 1.9Kg
For 219,800 YEN
Note: Only SZ9X models are premium. Hope that helps! -
I found that a lot of things in Japan come out to be the same as US cost wise...that's brand new JDM vs. brand new USDM anyway.
