    Hi everybody,

Thinking of buying a Vaio X from Conics for use in the UK. Anybody who has experience with this? They seem to ship it with an English Windows 7 version, keyboard in their base model is Japanese international however.

Still a good deal it seems at 760GBP+shipping for the Z540 with 64gb SSD...

    any comments/tips? thanks!

WWAN in japan is locked to NNT DoCoMo and currently there is no way to unlock Gobi 2000 in vaio X. Other than that, if price if ok with you, Conics is reliable seller.

Also if you are importing in UK you need to add VAT to the price and also shipment expenses. You can ask Conics to undervalue price on the invoice but it will also mean that your base for the shipment insurance will be undervalued amount.

I would suggest to pay using wire transfer since then you don't need to pay credit card or paypal fee.
