First, I'd just like to say that after 3 months and logging over 2000 hours on my C-Series laptop, I really do like it. It's way better than the HP DV1000t it replaced. :)

But I do have a question that I hope other C-Series owners could answer, how much "play" is there in the LCD lid? Like when you press down on the centre of it(where it says VAIO), how much does it flex? I'm trying to figure out whether or not my laptop is being crushed because of my small backpack + textbooks and notebooks and whether or not those caused the flex or if it was already there.

Hi AndyLH88, I am currently looking to by a new laptop, a sony vaio C. I currently use an HP dv1000. I have read just above that the sony is “way better “ than the HP. Can you tell me some example please, I am hezitating right now whether or not I buy the sony or not, knowing that there are some few bugs with the speakers sounds with those.

    Thanks.

I have the C260E. The noise I get is quiet and very high pitch. I bet some people couldn't even hear it. For me, it's off and on and seems to happen when the CPU is under load. It can be annoying in a quiet library, but it's not a huge issue in my opinion.
