It seems that I've lost functionality of my VAIO's on-screen function button display after a Windows restore...the function buttons for volume/mute are the only ones working, but still give no visual feedback, while the others (such as the brightness) simply don't work at all.

Does anyone know where I can download the utilities that perform this function?

    Thanks!

It could be the VAIO Event Service. Try loading it from your recovery application.

That's the one, much obliged! Such a weird name for the app, given the function...I would have never thought this was the one.
