I am in the process of replacing the broken screen on my laptop. The original screen has a CCFL backlight but most of the replacement screens are LED backlit. The companies offering these say they will include a conversion cable.

Has anyone done this? Is it a good solution? Am I going to damage the laptop with this converter?

    Thanks

We need more information such as your laptop model.
However, I am afraid it impossible because connectors are different between CCFL and LED LCD.
