I haven't used the CD player on my laptop for a while. But a few months ago, when I popped in some CDs, it would recognize that there is a disk in there maybe once every five tries. Now, the no CD (blank or full) is ever recognized... Any tips on how I can fix this?

You might just want to replace your CD reader. It shouldn't be very difficult
