Hi gang. First post here. I bought a new FS740 and did a fresh install of Windoze 'cause I hate all the crap that came on the laptop. Everything is going good except for the fact my card reader will not work. It is just a generic CF reader. I have spent two hours searching and I am ready to throw this thing out the window! Thanks for any help. I found someone had to load some TI thing from Sony...I did that and nothing happened.

you have a cf? did you buy an aftermarket? sony fs series comes with memory stick pro for use with only sony memory stick products.

sony's website has an updated driver for the card reader

i do know that the FS series do not come with CF (compact Flash) readers. only sony memory stick readers. you'll have to buy a usb memory reader.

I am just trying to use a simple USB external CF reader. It works fine on my antique Dell (Win 2K), but I cannot for the stinking life of me get it to work on the Vaio!
