I've recently purchased a Sony Vaio SZ120P in US. I have a full year warranty but since I don't live in US I can't make use of it.

My system clock does not run when my laptop is turned off, i.e. it will show
the time and date when it was last turned on as opposed to the current time
and date. Also when I enter the BIOS the clock is not running!!

It sounds like a CMOS battery problem and I need to replace it. I made contact with Sony support (from USA and Argentina) weeks ago and they couldn't tell me the exact model of my CMOS battery. They told me they think it's a coin shaped battery, but no more. I also tried searching the web with no luck.

Anyone knows any specifications of this battery (type, volts, etc)? And where exactly is this battery located inside the laptop and how to reach it?

I really need to know the battery model so I can order it online

    Thank you in advance.

    Juan
