Hey folks, I have been using my SZ483 for almost a period of around 4 months now. And it's only now started giving me this problem.

The notebook runs just fine when it stamina mode but as soon as I switch to speed mode, after first few minutes the cpu starts usage goes to full 100% and doesn't end. I've kept the notebook running for over a couple of hours and it's still the same. Any ideas why this may be the case? I've tried running almost every single virus scanner out there including NOD32 and I haven't come up with a single bug. HELP!

Try running task manager and look to see what process is maxing it out.

There are just two programs running at the startup including nod32. As for what process is taking the majority of the source, it's svchost. How am I suppose to deal with it?

    command prompt type netstat -b

the results will tell you what dll svchost is calling on. That should tell you what spyware/virus your dealing with. Or post up the dll in here.

Are you using xp or vista?? coz vista will tell you in task manager already.. otherwise you could also use a program called process explorer (free download) that will tell you what dll's are being called by the processes as well.

As BTG suggested you need Process Explorer.

    Here is the link.

You can flounder around searching for a virus or turning off start up items till you are blue in the face OR you can find out the specific process causing the CPU to go to 100%.
