I haven't kept up to date with Sony in the past few years, but back when I was considering the Z with first-gen Core i5, I seem to recall hearing that Sony would often cut back on features that should be included with the CPU by default -- such as virtualization instruction sets, and so on. Does that sort of thing still happen? Sony is consistently putting out the most desirable notebooks, and I'd hate to have to avoid them due to lack of implementation of built-in CPU features.

Summa sumarum, everything that the i7 processor supports is actually enabled on the Z1. I am pretty satisfied with that fact.
CPU features, and Sony disabling them?
