Well, your notebook shipped with the Intel Napa platform, so it's a Socket M processor. That board supports 667MHz FSB, so you can upgrade it to a Merom Core 2 Duo. You could technically go up to a T7600, but any Core 2 with a 667MHz FSB would work. If you go with a T5xxx series, get the T5600, as it supports VT-x for virtual extensions.

I did forget to mention though, that you MUST make sure that your BIOS is the most up-to-date version before installing the new processor. Otherwise it might not accept, or recognize it.

sounds good to me the only problem is that the bios update available newer then mine is a 2006 version and the only thing that it adds is something about display...
so i think newer cpu then 2006 it won't be recognize, am i right?
i was thinking to get the T7400,as it also supports VT-x and has higher frequency.
also, can you please tell me what is my motherboard max ram size?now i only have 1 gb(2*512 kb).

Your notebook has a GM945 express chipset, so it's max usable amount of memory is 3.2GB if you install 4GB. I'd just stick with 2GB with the RAM, and only the DDR2 PC4200 spec. But about the BIOS revision date, it might improve compatibility, and it might not... It's up to you whether you want to risk it or not. Worse case scenario is the BIOS won't post, so you'd have to put the old CPU back in and sell or send the T7400 back.
