Hi, which laptop, the Vaio CR or the Vaio SR, gets more battery life with its corresponding extended battery?

Well I'm thinking IGP, but if u can compare both IGP and 3470 thatd be great too.

I think the lack of responses is most likely due to these laptops targetting different types of user... so people are unlikely to own both and be able to do the comparison for you. Just a thought.

my friend has a CR with extended. I think he gets somewhere around 4-5 hours on balanced mode. If the IGP in the SR gets 5 hours as claimed on normal battery life, then imagine an extended. Probably 6+ hours for teh SR extended on IGP.

If you want the 3470, it's estimated 3.5 hours of battery life standard, so with extended, you're looking at probably 4.5 + hours...probably still more than the CR, but with a better graphics card.

If you want to save money, get the CR. The diff. in battery life is minimal (IGP vs 3470...but i'm positive the IGP in an SR will beat the CR's IGP in battery life significantly).

These are speculations based on my friend's experience. I don't know details but I remember being in the library with him, he was on wifi with semi dimmed screen and lasted well over 2 hours and still had around 40/50% life. The SR batt. life is based off Sony UK and users experience..only for standard battery. I haven't seen extended specs, but I'm almost positive it will give at least 1 hour more.

How does the CR's battery life compare to the FW's battery life?

I heard the FW dies off in 2 hours or less, right? It's alot larger and the screen will use alot more power as well as the GPU if it's a 3470.

    CR>FW in battery life.
