For those living in Japan who would like to order a Vaio Z CTO in English with an English keyboard, no problem! This can be done easily enough via the SonyStyle Japan site, assuming you can read a little Japanese. The configuration options include even more choices than are available in North America and Europe...

    - Select Vista Ultimate, which allows you to change the Japanese OS to English.
    - Select the 英字配列 keyboard option to have an English keyboard.
    - Select Core 2 Duo T9600(2.80 GHz) for some real horsepower (available only in Japan).
    - Click なし for VAIOアプリケーション to have Sony crapware removed free of charge.
    - If you are a JR Railways commuter, select the FeliCaポート option to instantly update your IC chip embedded train card whenever you need to.
    - Have your pick of any of the " Premium Design" cover art, not available outside of Japan!
    - Best of all, enjoy the standard 3 year parts and labor warranty, free of charge, included with every Sony Vaio purchased in Japan!

If you have any questions about these options, call 0120-65-1833 and ask for an English speaking rep. They would be happy to accommodate your needs.

    Lamdatz1989,

I really don't know about shipping to the U.S. or Australia. It doesn't seem likely though since they don't have that option on the web site. The prices for most options are comparable to prices in the U.S. The only exception being SDD, which seems quite a bit more expensive in Japan for some reason. As far as I know, none of the resellers or Sony importers give the cover art option. Sorry.
