Hey, I recently was turned onto the Sony CW Series notebooks and am currently interested in purchasing one... until now I was very set on an Alienware but after a not-so-spectacular 15inch launch I decided it might just be better to get a decent laptop and a custom tower instead.

Basically I want my laptop to be portable and be able to play a decent amount of games. IDEALLY I would like it to run something like MW2, but I don't know how possible that is. Running at Medium settings is also ideal but if I can turn it low and I dont lag at all, its not that big a deal, it is just a laptop.

Basically what kind of processor/graphics card do I need?

I was looking at the 2.53 because I think it would fit my budget much better, but do I need that much...? And I was wondering what the graphics power on the NVIDIA 230 was...like I said, will it be able to run MW2? WoW? MW1? DragonAge?

Thanks in advance and apologies if this is the wrong section!

Although I do not own any of games you listed, I think they will run fine, especially with medium setting. Unfortunately, only game I've tried so far is Stalker is Lurk mod (which makes it more hardware-demanding than the original), and it seems to run fine with full-dynamic lightening on, with most settings (aside from AA) on high. I am on 2.53/GT230 configuration.

About CPU, I'd say 2.13 is fine for the most uses. However, the price difference between 2.53 and 2.2/2.13 is relatively small, and 2.53 supports VT - so I do think it is worthwhile to get 2.53. If you want to have retail/quickship version, then you have to settle with 2.2 or 2.13, though.
