    Hello all,

I know I'm going to buy a Sony, but the question is what? I don't want any other ones, but I'm really at loss when I'm looking at the two computers that I want.

Which do you guys think is better?

It's customizable so I've come up with some pretty basic things that I want.

    CW190: For sure, 2.80 GHZ processor, NVIDIA GeForceĀ® GT230M GPU (512MB VRAM), 4GB RAM, 320 GB 5400 RPM

FW590: P8700 2.53 GHZ, ATI Mobility RadeonĀ™ HD 4650 graphics with 1GB dedicated video RAM , 4 GB RAM, 320 GB 7200 RPM, 16.4 inch widescreen HD display

Price wise, the two of them are pretty much the same. (CW is $40 more expensive) I guess it really comes down to the NVIDIA or ATI and the size of it all. The CW is bulkier, I think, cause I have the older one and it is bulky. The FW is less bulky, but wider, longer and all that stuff.

I don't know. Can anyone shed some light?

The FW590 is better in every way as far as performance is concerned except for the processor. You opt for the CW for portability reasons only as the FW is larger and heavier and has slightly less battery life.

I would definitely go with the FW. It's sturdier and better built and well, it's just a personal thing but I'm never touching a laptop with an Nvidia videocard. The thing is probably running at 60 degrees Celsius on idle.

Your decision really comes to what you are going to use it for.

    Gaming and video editing? FW
    Portability? CW
Price? Doesn't seem to be so relevant to you.

Personally I would go with the FW. That is mainly because all the specifications on the FW are better, apart from battery life (I think) and the processor (which in real terms isn't that great a difference).

FW is more of a flagship model, and CW is more of a budget laptop, just as jsf entusiast has said, FW is more of a multimedia powerhouse in my opinion, which is a good thing and is suitable for about everyone overall,
other than was has been said about the CW we dont know anything as much since is hasnt been released yet, if you go online or in the FW offical threads you can get user opinions and such.
