    Hey....

    I have a strange "problem"

I have a VGN-TZ16 where i have experienced when im low on battery i plug the charger to the machine.

But its not charging, it only says "plugged in, not charging".

Is it something about my powersettings i should adjust ?, have tried to look the settings, but with no luck.

Yesterday my machine was all down on power, i connected it to charge, and today when i start it op, it hasnt charged, right now battery is on 49%, and is now writing "plugged in, not charging" ?

    Best regards

    Kim

there's a program which if activated will limit the charge on your battery- i can't remember the name, but someone on the forum might remember the name- maybe something beginning with battery care....

u basically need to disable it and it should charge to 100%

the power plug is loose. Buy some copper conductive tape and wrap it around the power plug so that it fits better.

Hey, actually i was wondering how loose the connecter is, i had only had the machine for 2 days before i experienced that the connector had to sit in a right position before it was charging.

But the thing in the case is, that i can see that the plug is fitted, but it do not charge.

    More and more strange.

It seems like if i unplug the charger, and the battery goes to around 40%, and then i plug the cord in, it charge "normally" until it reach 50%, and then it goes to "plugged in, but not charging" mode ?

The funny thing i also, when the charger is connected, the light on the front is not on, but if i unplug, it then lights ? , im sure its "normally" the other way around ?

Right now i try to reinstall to see if it changes anything.

Reinstall fixed the problems... Right now charging over 50%, and the lights in front behave like before when charger plugged in.

    Hello

I've got the save problem with my brand new 6505. "0 % Plugged in, but not charging".
If I disconnect the battery and return it while the computer still is switched on and the charger is plugged in, the battery charges for like five sec, and then returns to "plugged in, but not charging". I've never been above 0%. The blue light to the left is flashing while the battery is connected.
    Running Vista.
    What did you reinstalled, kimj?
