I bought a Sony Vaio Touch Windows 8 Ultrabook (Model # SVT141290X) a few months ago and the camera never seems to work 90% of the time. Every now and then when I restart my laptop, the camera works; however, a few minutes later it doesn't. When I open the camera app it says 'connect a camera.'

In device manager, I have to view and show hidden devices for my imaging device (usb 2.0 camera) to appear and when I select it it says

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

I've already tried to update the driver, but it says it's up to date. I've also tried uninstalling it. Nothing I have done is working. Is there a way to fix this problem? It's annoying connecting my usb webcam each time I want to skype, I'd rather just use the built-in webcam. Thanks in advance.
