    I was looking to add some memory to the laptop and on ebay i see some cheap 172 pin DDR2 microdimm memory. From what i can tell it looks like the laptop was designed for 172 DDR microdimm.

    i did a search for DDR2 vs DDR and could not find anything.

    Looks like it uses DDR SDRAM.

    so...DDR2 is not "backwards compatible" to DDR memory?
