Hi, I just placed an order for SVZ131190S-LBOM at Sony website. Then I bought an OCZ Vector VTR1-25ST3-512GB SSD at TigerDirect. These items are being shipped to me. The problem for me now is that I did not do a thorough research to see if the SSD can be installed on Sony SVZ131190S-LBOM or not.
Did anyone successfully swap out the 256GB with 512GB?

    Thanks.

Well, I should have done my homework before letting my wife order her laptop and OCZ 512gb, 2.5" SSD. I was thinking of save some money and make use of the SSD that come with the laptop. I told my wife not to upgrade the SSD with Sony because I can get a cheaper one and make use of the old one! Oh boy, I was totally wrong! It turns out that the factory installed SSD on the Sony SVZ131190S-LBOM laptop is a 1.8" with micro-SATA interfacing cables. This certainly is an expensive mistake that one could easily avoid.
I hope my mistake will benefit those who are thinking of upgrading the factory installed SSD on VAIO Z series and don't have time to search the internet.

    Thanks

Why don't you just return the ssd?
