I have a VAIO FS830 which consist in a IDE hard drive. furthermore its speed is very low ( 4200rpm). I want to change it with a SATA HDD.
    Is it possibe or not?
If not, which IDE HDD suggest to speed up my laptop?

Pardon me for my weak English !

You can't swap IDE with SATA. They use different connecters. If speed is what you are after, then you can always purchase a 7200 or 5400 RPM, IDE drive. The actual data tranfer speed will be almost the same as the SATA one. This is because, tranfer speeds are still limited by the hard disk, and not the interface they use. Hope this helps.
