    Hi !

It now appears that hard drive on my SONY VGN-CR120E laptop is broken !

Original hard drive is has capacity: 160GB, speed: 5400rpm, interface: Serial ATA

I found cheap 80GB that is little bit faster. Here is a link

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148444

    1) Will this HD will work with my laptop ???
    2) Would I be able to restore Vista using Restore CD's ??

I am worried because, I don't know how restoration software will react to small capacity HD.

    Thanks !!!

At least the recovery disks worked fine for me, on my SZ48 and Z690. Just select "allocate all to C:" if the new hdd is small.
