    Can I manualy turn off monitor on fz180e

    I was wondering If I could manualy turn off the laptop monitor and have it back.
    it happens often that I let it do something and would like to turn of monitor for power saving!~

    Why not close the lid? You can adjust what closing the lid does in the power settings. If you set it to "do nothing," you'd be fine.

    I didn't know the default (aka "do nothing") seeting would turn off the display. I just tried it to see. This does indeed work fine on an FZ190 (so it will also work on a FZ180).

    Just change "turn off monitor" option in the advanced power settings. I have set mine to turn off in 2 mins if operating on battery.
