Can I place SZ in back of the car for kids to watch DVDs?

I wonder what the simplest way to do this would be?

I would like to tag the SZ and place it on a "flat" surface in my car and was curious if anyone else had done this. The main reason, the kids in the back could be watching DVD's on it while on long trips etc.

Anyone already doing this or know of a "flat" product eg velcro like etc that is marketed for this. Thanks.

P.S. I am not trying to make the SZ a permanent part of the car, just taking it with me when I enter the car and exit the car.

erm ... not to sound disparaging, but with all the bumps on the road, and ingenuity of kids to inflict damages, the SZ is too expensive to be used as such ...

Why not just buy a portable dvd player for them?

The SZ is definitely not a tough laptop, build-wise. Baby it, and don't let the kids have it in the backseat.
On the other hand, the C/CR series are built pretty sturdy.

I agree....you can get a portable DVD player for under $50 these days.

I love the SZ so those are good points on the damage that could occur.

The next question then, do they make portable DVD players with AUX out for audio and surround sound output?

AUX out, yes of course, at worst you will have to get a Y-adapter that will turn the headphone jack into L and R audio inputs. But I'm not sure about the surround sound.
