The model is VGN-SZ477N. I bought it from Thailand about 2 years ago. The GPU that came with it is GeForce Go 7400, and it has only 64MB dedicated memory (lol, can't play even COD4 w/o turning all special effects to minimum levels). I wonder if there is any GPU that would be compatible with my Vaio + have at least 256MB?

I do not know of a single Sony Vaio laptop that has an upgradeable GPU, and I have my doubts that there will be anytime soon.

So yeah you are stuck with the 7400, make sure you got a good new driver and all the other various patches and windows updates to ensure best performance.

I checked the driver from Sony's website, and it's been two years already since they updated it. I doubt they won't release new drivers anymore also (besides Vista SP1 & 2).

If I couldn't change the GPU, should I just sell this notebook and buy a new one w/ better GPU instead?

If you really nead a better GPU, sell it and buy a new one. You have the choice between the SR and Z if you still want to stay with 13"

The other option for graphics drivers is to go to laptopvideo2go.com and look 186.03 and use a modified INF to get to work your Sony laptop. Make sure you have a good read around the site so you know what is going on though. Basically you are not using an official driver for your laptop but I have not seen any reason to doubt the safety of them though.

13.3 inch laptops aren't really gaming machines, you'll probably have to go up in size and look at other manufacturers to get a decent spec laptop.

I guess you're right: 13.3 inch is more geared toward portable workstation than gaming machine. Thank you for advice on laptopvideo2go also.
