    Can Premium SZs use 667 mhz DDR 2 memory?

    or is it stuck with the 553 MHZ memory speed? Does it matter much if you can upgrade?

    are you already using DDR 2 memory? just at 533Mhz?

    Yes. You can use either 533 or 667. Some have noted that the SZ is a bit faster with 667. I upgraded to 2GB when I first got it. Fry's had a sale on a package of 2 x 1gb sticks. The package was labeled 533 but the ram was actually 667! In order for DDR2 to work, you must have both slots filled with the same amount of RAM.

    Actually DDR2 will work just fine with two different amounts/speeds of RAM (even in dual channel mode via a technology on new Intel chipsets called, imaginatively, "asymetric dual-channel"), it will all just run at the same clock as the slowest stick.
