    Can anyone burn 8X on FS550

    Hi, is anyone able to burn 8X on DVD+R or DVD-R on the Sony FS-550? I have tried multiple media formats ranging from 4x to 8x, but they all burn at 8x through Nero or the included Sonic Now. Even Sony's 8X DVD+R doesn't seem to work

    Notebook DVD burners are not as fast as their desktop counterparts. They only burn a very small part of the disc at 8x whereas a desktop drive will burn most of the disc at 8x resulting in slower burn times.
