Ok, I have a vaio AR, and apparently there is a problem when installing vista 64 on a Vaio AR because the missing DMIcall.sys doesn't work on 64 bit vista. Well, I tried a clean install of 32 bit vista (using a retail disc), and i had the same issues as i did under the 64 bit install. The issues being: not all the shortcut keys working and the Fn keys wouldn't work.

Now i don't have a recover disc of any sort, which is a problem because apparently DMIcall.sys is a sony exclusive service. Is there anyway that someone could forward me the install fire for DMIcall.sys from their recovery disc or partition?

I know I am asking for a lot, but please help out? For what its worth, my email is [email protected]

Everyone has been saying that DMIcall.sys is not compatible with vista 64, well, it's not like it was ever on the vista 64 disc to begin with, and nor is there a download for it at Sony's website. But if people are saying it is not compatible with vista 64, then you guys must have tried installing it. So if anyone can link me to the file or email it to me so i can install it on Vista 32, i'd be happy again!

    thanks guys.
