I find that I am bumping up on the internal SSD flash memory 48GB, if I am correct, and wonder if it is possible to go to a 120 or even 250 SSD?

    Thanks

You can, but unfortunately, the Sony TZ uses ZIF drives, and SSD with ZIF connectors are not abundant. Reputable brands, like Samsung, only manufactures drives with up to 64GB for this connector.
I would recommend replacing your optical drive with a 500GB HDD, which may be better in the long run for storage.

Has anyone tried the runcore 128 in he TZ. I know i is 8mm thick and the stock is 5mm. Man Rachel that one link for taking apart the TZ is intense. I am sue it would be a little easier if the translation was 100% but seems there are some errors.

Any reason why you don't keep the 32GB SSD and replace your optical drive with another 2.5" HDD instead? You can't boot from it, but you can certainly store all your data, movies, and music in it. Certainly a cheaper solution than a higher capacity SSD. I'm selling a near complete kit for dirt cheap.

I see. Well, replacing the HDD is quite easy, but you'll have a lot of trouble the first time, especially with the hinges. Any time later will be easier, but you probably won't open it ever again. Good luck.
