Hi, I'm new to the forums here and I'm having a major problem with my laptop. I first purchased this laptop about a day after Windows 7 was first released. Up until now I've had no major problems with this laptop. About 2 days ago, when I booted up my laptop, I noticed it was taking longer than usual to start up. After about 15 minutes, the laptop finally started up, but it was displaying the lowest resolution possible and was performing extremely slow. Last night, I booted up the laptop via the Vaio Recovery Center and tried to "Restore C: Drive" and "Restore Complete System". When I tried this, the process would halt at 58% and give me an error message saying " An error occurred while executing an application. The operation was not completed. Shutdown the PC, then try the operation again after restarting your system. Error: 320 ". I would greatly appreciate any assistance I can get on what I should do from here, thanks!
P.S. Any time I try and start windows normally now, it says " Operating System Not Found."

Though I don't know the cause of your problem, I can tell you why you're getting the error "Operating System Not Found".
When you chose to recover your system, the VAIO Recovery Center reformatted and wrote over your C:\ drive with the information contained in the recovery partition. To my understanding, you have no operating system anymore. You may need to install a fresh copy of Windows to get things to work. I'd wait for better advice from someone who might know more than I do.
Good luck! -
Thanks for the input, and yeah, I think I'll wait for some more reply's before I do something unnecessary.

You may want to boot into the recovery center and use the disk utility to diagnose and repair your hard drive. It worked with my drive, but took quite a few hours. Do the full test, not the quick one
Can't Reformat/Re-install Windows 7 on my Vaio PCG-7184L
