Hi there, I had a problem accessing Vaio Recovery Center using the recovery disks. I hope I can get some advice from you guys.

When I boot from the recovery disks, after selecting language and operating system partition, there is a screen where you can select different tasks. "Launch Vaio Recovery Center" is at the very bottom. After I click it, I got a message saying "Can't copy files". I'm trying to restore the whole C drive.

    Thanks in advance!

Do you still have the recovery partition? If so tap the F11 key during startup and the Recovery Centre should start up.

I thought it's F10. No wonder it didn't work. I got a black boot option screen when I did that.

    I'll give F11 a try. Thanks!

Looks like F11 didn't work. It went straight to Windows.

Instead when I tried F10, I got a screen titled "Edit Boot Options" with a path to an exe file in windows folder. The cursor is inside a pair of brackets. I can type in there. It looks like something below.

    Code:
    \windows\system32\winload.exe
    partition: 2

    [ | ]
