    Hi,

My TV's native resolution is 1366 x 768. My VAIO FW-190 has Intel Chipset and both the Windows built in software and Intel provided graphic card settings software do not show the 1366x768 resolution. I can't find a way to set the Vaio's HDMI output to that resolution.

    Anyone have an idea?

    Thanks a lot,

    And this is through HDMI?

I've had a different problem with my TV and it had a resolution of 1366x768. It detected the resolution but despite outputting the same resolution as the TV, I still had a black border all around.

My solution was to set the HDMI output to 1280x720 and use the Catalyst Control Center to "overscan" the image until the picture fills the whole screen. (This option was greyed out for me for the 1366x768 resolution)

So, basically I'm saying you should try HDMI at 720p and see how it works.

EDIT: My bad, I just saw that you have an Intel card. Either way, when you plug in the HDMI, you should get this tiny tray icon (it is from Sony) that lets you select the resolution.

also try toggling the laptops display off (using fn+f7 or something) when using hdmi. As Wolf stated once you get the resolution close, use the graphic cards control software to adjust overscan.
