I currently have Windows 7 Pre Beta (.6956) installed. I can change my brightness level all I want in Stamina mode but when I switch to Speed Mode, the toggle switch works and everything else seems to work. However when I try to increase/decrease the brightness level, it won't budge. It just stays at the brightness level where Stamina Mode was at. Let's say if I left the brightness at MAX in stamina mode and then switch to Speed, it stays at MAX. And then whatever brightness level I had on Stamina Mode transfers to Speed Mode and I can't adjust it... Anyone know what's going on here?

    Probably a beta issue.

    No problems in vista business.

Sounds like the nvidia driver isnt correctly installed, the graphics driver is responsible for increasing and decreasing the brightness and in stamina mode it uses an intel card and driver.

Make sure you have the driver fully installed, one you'd have to run the setup for not the inbox driver supplied in windows 7. Maybe uninstall the current driver and while in speed mode run the setup for the nvidia driver you should be able to get from the preinstalled vista drivers.
