The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Can't download applications & drivers

    1. Logged into club vaio (IE8)
    2. Selected support
    3. Selected drivers and utilities (originally installed)
    4. Selected what I want to download
    5. Clicked "Accept" on the disclaimer/licence screen
    6. Presented with the typical "internet explorer cannot display the webpage", the page is "ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/pub/VAIO/Original/Wireless_WAN_Driver_Qualcomm_1.0Z2Q309_1.1.11.zip"

    All downloads seem to be behaving the same for me - I have tried on several computers. I need these applications to do a clean install of Win7(32) on my Vaio X. Is the FTP site down? Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong gratefully received.
