I installed an aftermarket battery on this laptop and all hell broke loose. A message box started popping up saying that a non-oem battery has been detected and the computer will hibernate right away. After a little while it would just shut off right after the windows welcome screen.

I have an oem battery installed now and I want to boot off of the recovery cd but I can't. F2 doesn't get it to BIOS. The only key that works is F11, but once the safe-mode option screen comes up, the keyboard stops working.

Can anyone help me out? I'm desparate.

    Thanks in advance!
