Whatsup, guys. I am not really good at the computing knowledge. Therefore, could some IT expects answer my question? I bought a SZ650 notebook several months ago and i downgrades to XP professional about 2 months ago. The problem is after i run the "stand by" mode, it turn down normally after several mintues later, it just automatically go back to the window. Has anyone had this kinds of problem? Thanks for all the help!!

I'm not quite sure what you're saying. Do you mean the computer resumes from standby after a few minutes?

Just to get this straight...you open the Start Menu, click on Turn Off Computer, and click on Stand By? And then the screen goes black, and the power light fades on and off. Then after a couple minutes, the screen turns back on, and you see your Desktop or the Welcome Screen?

If so, does this happen if you just leave the screen open, or does it happen if you open and close the screen?

I haven't tried to leave the screen open. But i am sure that the secondary IDE channel has problem while i checked in the device manager. Is this the one reason?
