    Hi

I completely erased the hard disk of my Sony FZ31S using one of the recovery DVDs. However when i tried to install a fresh clean copy of Vista from bootup, i get the message "no operating system found" and also i cannot use original recovery anymore because the second of the 3 recovery dvds is unreadable (scratch?). Is there there any way i can extract the necessary files from the first recovery DVD (which is working) to create a boot CD which would provide the necessary driver files for the hard disk?

    Thanks :)

go into your bios and set it to boot from disk first.(boot options) afterwards, you should be able to boot from a cd by "pressing any key" before it gives you that "no OS found" message. do you have a cd w/ just vista OS on it?
