    Hi.
I have a Sony Vaio SVE 1511B1EW and I want to change the CPU with other better processor (something like i3 ... ). It's possible this operation ? The current processor is Intel Pentium CPU B970 @ 2.30 Ghz.

Since it looks to be a rPGA, you may be able to upgrade it. Before trying, you should open up the machine and confirm that it is indeed a socket. From there, you should use your maximum temperatures under heavy stress to determine if your cooling system has any chance of keeping a stronger chip properly cooled.
I'd recommend you let a prime95 torture test have some fun for at least 5 minutes and then consider buying an upgrade CPU based on the following criteria:

    - if temps don't exceed 50-60C, go quad-core (like 2630/2670qm).
    - if temps max out under 70C, get a strong dual-core like an i5 or i7 dual-core cpu.
    - if temps exceed 70C, go for an i5 at most, probably i3.

No, if there is no socket - procesorul e lipit direct pe placa de baza - it's not possible to upgrade.
