    Hi guys,

Just looking for some advice really. I have a Sony Vaio SZ and I got it about christmas time last year. Obviously has XP installed but I can no get a free version of Vista due to being a student. Finished the dissertation so feeling like I can at least give Vista a go without any major worries of incompatability and the like.

Just wondering how I would go about doing this? Would I just back up everything I need, format the partition that it is installed on. Leaving the Vaio Backup partition alone. And then install Vista from the CD to the empty partition?

    Any advice, thanks :D
