Hi, is there any way to change a radeon 9200 from a VGN-295HP to a radeon 9700 from a VGN-A297XP or VGN-A197XP? Since the space and the location are exacly the same. And like ATI says, the Radeon 9XXX uses the FLEXFIT. Thanks

I think that you would be able to however, I would not. You should only do this kind of "operation" if Sony said that that particular model could have upgradeable graphics. Otherwise, it might fit. But, it would cause so many hardware conflicts that your system would be fried, and not to mention you would of voided the warranty. So, I wouldn't attempt it. [ :)]

Windows - The operating system that runs the world.

Toshiba - Quality, price, and features!

Most of these cards are not compatible - they can't be swapped like a standard card in a desktop box, and they are that way for a reason. Laptops are designed with heat dissipation as a major concern. Each of the components in a very compact case produces heat and the overall design needs to dissipate that heat. Graphics chips are one of the worse offenders in producing heat and the difference between different chip models is significant. Unless you REALLY know what you are doing, I'd support the advice above and suggest not to try it.

JohnZT, can you please give me a small review about this notebook. I'm thinking to buy it but i'd like to have a few opinions about A295HP before spending my money.

If you don't mind, i'd be greatfull is you could make a pros/cons list. Of course, any other information are welcomed!!

    Thank you in advance :),

PS: Sorry if my english are bad.
