    Hello Vaio owners,

I have intentionally changed Boot Mode from Legacy to UEFI on my SVZ13114GXX, to see what happens as part of my tinkering abilities ;)

Now it can`t boot the stock Windows 7, neither the Assist button brings up any rescue menu, F2,F3,F10,F11 or any other F does not have any effect to enter the BIOS.

The thing is that I have forgot that in my settings the Network and External Boot options are also Disabled.

Now it just says "Operating System Not Found" when powering it on by the Assist, Web or Power buttons.

How can I reset the BIOS settings or enter the BIOS ?

I think that you can't boot as UEFI from win7... did you remove the bios battery?....

hi anurba, Sure did. Disassembled it and disconnected the white-red 2-wire cable, left it for some time. It does not work probably because it's in the EEPROM in this model, similar to all latest models.

Also tried to re-flash the InsydeH20 BIOS with the Fn-Esc /Win-B method but it did not pick up the files, probably because the latest downloadable BIOS ROM from Sony does not mention the names of possible recovery files in its SLIC.

Also tried to make to force-boot from the USB stick, by removing the HDD. Prepred it as UEFI for Windows 7 with Rufus tool, but it did not boot from it.

    Need more ideas...
