    Hey guys,

I am planning to buy a Z112, but it comes with 128GB SSD, am I able to change it with a normal HDD, how different is it with a normal 7200rpm HDD(in terms of speed & battery life)? Am I able to add another 128GB SSD to make it 256GB?

i would keep the the ssd in there because you will be downgrading alot if u switch to 7200rpm.

i would buy a large sd card to compensate for storage needs!

You will have a DVD drive in the Z, you can buy a newmodeus drive caddy and add a 2.5" HDD - you will have your 128GB SSD + the HDD then. Wont be that much of a difference battery wise.

I'm not sure that a Z11 that came with SSD preinstalled will give you an easy time converting to HDD. Retail SSD's have to be deconstructed to the bare drive itself, just to fit them in.

Also, it's a huge jump downward if you switch completely to HDD.

Take pyr0's advice and swap out your optical drive for a hard drive. A lot of us have done it and it's very worth it. The optical bay is such a waste of space if you're not using it often enough.
