Taking apart my Vaio Z was easier that I thought. Changed to Artic Silver 5, temperature came down 2 degrees.

I didn't find any stickers around the cpu, I got the P8600 and I'm thinking to upgrade to P9600. But I think I would go with the Intel X25-M SSD. Any thoughts?

go with the X9100 samples on ebay, and I would wait out the SSD till september when the cheap and fast 256GB Samsungs come out

Did you ever continue with your quest to upgrade to the P9600? I'm thinking about doing the same thing as well... just need to find somewhere to buy it from!
