    Somewhat random question:

Do the USB ports on the Vaio AC Adapter (VGP-AC19V51) have high enough output to support charging an iPad?

    Thanks in advance folks!

They are 1.5A so if that is enough for your iPad it should be fine. It's already 3 times higher compared to a normal USB port on a VAIO (or mac).

The iPad came with a 10watt charger, so that's presumably the optimum power requirement for fast charging.

An article on Wired indicates 1.5Amps from a USB will do the job, but I wouldn't expect fast charge mode out of it. (1.5Amps x 5volts = 7.5Watts ?)
