This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    If i check None Service plan, i get no warranty? or sony notebooks have a standard warranty by default... i just wanted to know if the Service Plan is the warranty to choose or is an extra warranty... u can buy the notebook with no warranty?? wtf? or sony gives you a minimal warranty with no extra money?

    Sony gives a 1 year limited warranty on its notebooks. The service plan is just to extend this warranty, you can choose to extend at anytime before your initial warranty runs out.
