This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Clean Install Vista Ultimate on FW16G/W

    Hi all, hoping I can get some input as couldn't really find anything usefull with search function.

    This is my laptop. VGNFW16GW. You can find it on sony australia website (and nowhere else I have discovered). I would post the link but the forum wont let me currently.

    I have made a seperate partition for all my data.

    So I just want to do clean install (i.e format current vista home premium partition and install vista ultimate).

    Is there any specific steps I need to take and do I have to install any sony software etc etc.

    I actually really want to downgrade to xp but I can find drivers for my specific model its like it doesn't exist.

    Any help much appreciated.
