I just bought a sony sz680 and the bloatware was rediculous. So i tried using the vlite to create a clean vista, but with my luck no hidden directories.
So i created a restoration disc and restored the root drive, but the installer actually installs all the crapware too.
So i tried for a second time. But this time i waited until vista loaded for the first time and right after the stupid installer loaded i pressed control+alt+del and opened up the task manager. If you select the System Restore application and press the End Process button, you can stop it from installing all the crap. You will get an error message and the installation will end, but this time without the crapware.
Its not as clean as the rest of the methods, but its simple and all the drivers and basic sony applications will be installed.
I've read some dicussions in this forum about clean installation, but i did not find this method. So i decided to contribute, if this is has already been discussed my apologies.
