    Hi,
    I'm looking for a few more additional drivers I can't find on Sony site:
    Namely:
    * Battery Care
    * Vaio Security Center
    * Protector QL

    Is there a normal way of getting these from somewhere?

    That's bloatware. Probably not what you want to put on your laptop if you're doing a clean install.

    go to ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/Pub/OS

    there is a Vista Upgrade Folder. Go to the SZ folder and you will find the ProtectorQL, the other stuff is useless.
