    Hello,

I have ordered a vaio SR, and I'm already thinking of downgrading it to XP, or otherwise making a clean install of Vista. (I'm sorry if there are already topics about that)

But I was wondering about how works/comes the recovery solution on this laptop.

    Thanks

it has a recovery partition on hard drive, and when you first boot up u can use Vaio Recovery Manager to make Recovery CDs (DVD-Rs) but the partition and the CDs will have factory standard programs (i.e. bloatware included)

Follow the VERY big Clean Install on SR thread - search the Sony subforum
