    Hello,

I just got the new Sony Vaio with the most disc space available online. I would however like to do a fresh format of the system with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. I've downloaded all the drivers, however my fear is that I won't be able to get it to use both drives.

If anyone has any advice on how to properly install it please let me know. Strangely I set up Windows 2008 on servers all the time without worrying about it but I'm nervous as I've never done raid on a laptop before.

you saying you have 2 x 256GB and you want to set them as RAID 0 first, then install OS?

If yes, go to bIOS and check for show RAID option, make it "SHOW" and when booting, press CTRL+I to get into raid config util, set the drives there and it will work - if your Windows 7 x64 Ultimate have proper drivers for it.

Thanks - I reformatted it last night. Turns out I didn't need to do anything special, just install like it was a single disc, since they had already set it to act as one when I received it.

    It is so fast now!
